Terms of Service

The service

UniGrade is a grade-tracking and study-habit tool for university students. It lets you model your degree — years, modules, credits, assessments and weights — and calculates weighted averages, classification projections and the grades you need on remaining work, alongside a deadline planner, study-time logging, streaks and optional social features. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account and acceptable use

You must provide a valid email address when registering and keep your password secure — you are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You are also responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter; our calculations can only be as correct as the marks and weights you give them.

You agree not to:

• attempt to access other users’ accounts or data;
• disrupt, overload or interfere with the service, or probe it for vulnerabilities;
• scrape or bulk-extract content or data from the platform;
• use social features (friends, leagues, squads, profiles) to harass or abuse other users;
• use the service for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with notice where reasonable.

Free plan and advertising

UniGrade’s core features are free to use. The free plan is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense, as described in our privacy policy — including how the cookie consent banner controls personalised versus non-personalised ads. Pro accounts see no ads.

Pro subscriptions and the semester pass

Pro is an optional paid plan that removes ads and unlocks additional features. It is available as a monthly or yearly recurring subscription, or as a one-off semester pass covering a fixed period. Current prices are shown on the pricing page at the time you buy.

• Billing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Recurring plans renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancelling stops future renewals; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further charges are made. We do not give pro-rata refunds for the unused remainder of a period, except where the law requires.
• The semester pass does not renew. It expires automatically at the end of its fixed period, after which your account returns to the free plan.
• Price changes will never affect a period you have already paid for; we will notify you before any change applies to a renewal.

Your grades are estimates, not official records

UniGrade’s averages, projections and classification estimates are calculated from the data you enter, using the weightings you configure. They are not official academic records, and universities differ in how they round marks, treat borderlines, condone fails and apply classification rules. Always confirm your standing and requirements with your university — your programme handbook and exam board are the only authoritative sources. We make no guarantee of any academic outcome, and using UniGrade is no substitute for reading your institution’s regulations.

Availability

We aim to keep UniGrade reliably available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may be briefly unavailable for maintenance or due to circumstances outside our control. We recommend exporting your data periodically if you rely on it heavily.

Liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for academic decisions made on the basis of the app’s calculations, for losses arising from inaccurate data you enter, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app; this removes your academic and study data as described in the privacy policy. Deleting your account does not automatically refund an active subscription period.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes we will update the date above and notify you by email or in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept updated terms, you may stop using the service and delete your account.
