Refund Policy

A plain-language explanation of refunds for UniGrade Pro.

On this page
  • Pro passes are one payment. Nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
  • A pass starts as soon as you pay, because you ask for that at checkout.
  • You can cancel within 14 days of buying and get a refund for the days you have not used.
  • If Pro does not work as it should, you have rights under UK consumer law whenever you bought it.
  • To ask for a refund, email support@unigrade.co.uk.

This summary restates the policy below in fewer words. The full text is what applies.

01What you are buying

UniGrade Pro is sold as one-off passes, paid once through Stripe. A semester pass (£9.99) gives Pro until the end of the exam-and-results season you buy it in; the pricing page shows the exact end date before you pay. A degree pass (£39.99) gives Pro for three years (1,095 days). Neither renews: when a pass ends, your account goes back to the free plan and keeps all your data.

02Starting straight away

When you buy online in the UK you normally have 14 days to change your mind. A pass gives you Pro straight away, so before you pay we ask you to tick a box confirming that you want it to start immediately and that you understand you lose the right to cancel for a full refund. Your receipt email repeats what you agreed to.

You do not lose the ability to change your mind altogether: the next section explains the refund we give in your first 14 days.

03Refunds in the first 14 days

If you cancel within 14 days of buying a pass, we refund the part you have not used. We work it out by days: the amount you paid, multiplied by the days left on the pass, divided by the days the pass covered when you bought it. The day you bought it counts as used, and we round down to the penny.

For example, a £39.99 degree pass covers 1,095 days. Cancel on day 10 and 1,085 days are unused, so the refund is £39.62.

Pro ends when we make the refund. The money goes back to the card or account you paid with, without undue delay and within 14 days of the day you tell us you want to cancel.

04After 14 days

After the first 14 days we do not refund the unused part of a pass, except where something has gone wrong (see the next section) or the law says otherwise. Your pass keeps working until its end date.

05If Pro does not work as it should

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and a service must be provided with reasonable care and skill. If Pro does not work as it should, tell us. We will try to put it right, and if we cannot, you may be entitled to some or all of your money back, whenever you bought the pass. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

06How to ask for a refund

Email support@unigrade.co.uk from the address on your UniGrade account, or use our contact form. Tell us which pass you want to cancel and roughly when you bought it. You do not need to give a reason. You can also reply to your receipt email.

07Free Pro and older subscriptions

Free months of Pro from inviting friends, and passes paid for in full with a promotion code, involve no payment, so there is nothing to refund.

Monthly and yearly subscriptions are no longer sold. If you still have one, you can cancel it at any time from the billing page; Pro keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for. If a renewal was taken that you did not expect, contact us.

08Contact
