A quick version. The free university grade calculator takes every module and year, and the app runs it per assessment as your marks come in.

Results day shouldn't be the first time you find out.

A plain average of your marks is almost never your grade. Each assessment carries a weight inside its module, each module carries credits inside its year, and most UK universities count final year more heavily than second year. A 40-credit dissertation can move your result more than three smaller modules put together.

UniGrade does that arithmetic every time you log a mark, so you always know which side of a boundary you're on, and how far away the next one is.

Two honest numbers. Never a flattering one.

Every module, year and degree shows what you've banked so far, where anything not yet marked counts as zero, alongside your average on work that has been marked. One tells you what's locked in, the other tells you how you're performing. Neither inflates your grade.

Is UniGrade free?

Yes. Grade tracking, the mark you need for every class, the planner and the what-if simulator are all free. No ads in the app. The free tools and guides show ads. Pro applies your own university's classification rules to your marks and adds a printable transcript and a revision schedule: £9.99 once. Pro until 30 April 2027. No subscription.

How does it work out what I need?

It uses the same weighted-average arithmetic your university uses: each assessment's weight within its module, each module's credits within its year, and each year's weight within your degree. From that it solves for the average you'd need on all remaining work to reach any boundary, recalculated every time a mark changes.

Does it work for my university?

UniGrade models the standard UK system of percentage marks, weighted averages and First, 2:1, 2:2 and Third boundaries, with fully adjustable module and year weights. That covers the vast majority of UK undergraduate degrees. For Bath, Bournemouth, Bristol, Exeter, KCL, Leeds, Nottingham and Westminster, Pro also applies the university's own published rules, with more universities coming.

Can my friends see my grades?

Never. Leagues rank weekly study time only. Your marks, averages and classification are private to you.

Do I have to enter my whole degree up front?

No. Add one module and one mark and you'll see your classification straight away. Fill in past years and upcoming assessments whenever you like.
